THE REVIEW

CFX: COLD FURY TEN was the culmination of a decade of dominance for New England's premiere professional wrestling promotion. On February 11th of 2011, The Polish American Veterans Club in Lowell, Massachusetts was completely sold-out for this milestone event. On that night, it wasn't just fans that turned out - but the largest collection of Chaotic Wrestling stars from the previous decade. The company paid tribute to the pioneers of the entire industry by installing Walter "Killer" Kowalski into the Chaotic Wrestling Hall of Fame. The event was also a showcase for the current starts of Chaotic Wrestling as new benchmarks were set. Nikki Roxx fought her way through five other women, including Alexxis and Mercedes KV, to win the title that was then declared the CW Women's Championship. The Logan Brothers, Matt and Bryan, won the CW Tag Team titles for an unprecedented time by defeating Chase Del Monte & Julian Starr and République in a triple-threat match. Mikaze entered CFX as the CW New England Champion but it was "The Enforcer" Max Bauer who left with Chaotic gold. Joining all of these current stars were 30 stars from the past and present of Chaotic Wrestling with a shot at the CW Heavyweight Title on the line.

In what has become a COLD FURY tradition, the Chaotic Countdown Battle Royal was scheduled for the show. This time, the winner would receive a future CW Heavyweight Title shot. Also, for the first time, any member of the Chaotic roster from the past 10 years was invited to be a part of the match. For weeks, names were announced for the match: former CW Heavyweight Champions Brian Black, Gino Martino, and Tommaso Ciampa, plus "Intellectual" Arch Kincaid as special timekeeper. Former CW Tag Team Champions "Mighty Mini" Mark Bourne, "Pistol" Pete Mulloy, Big Mike Studd and Sledge all entered the match. Even Chaotic Wrestling originals Jay Jaillet and Donny Rotten showed up in Lowell to face off against new age favorites like Psycho, Dr. Heresy, Mike Nice and Elia Markopoulos. At the end of the grueling 30 minute match - it came down to two former champions - Tommaso Ciampa and Demon Ortiz facing off. The crowd was evenly split as these two men continued their back and forth battle for an additional 10 minutes until Ciampa emerged victorious.

For months prior to CFX, Brian Fury and his manager, Sean Gorman challenged anyone on the Chaotic roster to beat Fury in under 10 minutes. So confidant was Gorman in his challenge, he put a $5,000 cash prize on the line for anyone who could achieve the goal. Show after show, Gorman, Fury and Tony Omega would come to the ring with a silver briefcase full of cash handcuffed to Omega's wrist. Show after show, the briefcase and cash would leave in the same way. Finally, a true contender emerged in the form of Handsome Johnny. Handsome was poised to finally win the coveted prize, until Gorman's Empire interfered on multiple occasions - costing Handsome his victory and his reward. In order to get his last chance at Fury and the prize, Handsome made an offer to Gorman. If he won the match, he got the reward. If he lost, he would sign a contract and join the Empire. He had one stipulation - both the contract and the cash would be hung from PAV ceiling and be claimed in a Ladder Match. For nearly 30 minutes, Handsome and Fury battled around the ring and around the building. Ladders were climbed, used as weapons and utterly destroyed. It was finally a bloodied and battered Handsome Johnny who climbed the last remaining ladder to claim victory and a $5,000 reward!

At COLD FURY 9: The Never-ending Chase, Chaotic fans saw the longest CW Title reign come to an end when "Kingpin" Brian Milonas defeated then-champion Chase Del Monte for the belt. Nobody could have imagined that over a year later - at CFX: COLD FURY TEN it would be Milonas who was on the verge of a record-setting title run. Milonas had turned back every challenger over the course of 2010 and he was looking at CFX as his crowning moment as the "Greatest Champion in Chaotic Wrestling history." On a night when over 20 former champions were on the show, one stood in Milonas' path - "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion. Arion had held every championship in Chaotic Wrestling including the Heavyweight Title in 2008. It was his defeat at the hands of Chase Del Monte that ultimately led to Milonas' run as Champion. At CFX, Arion and Milonas threw the rules out the window and battled for the Championship. Both men fought as the crowd's energy reached a frenzied pitch. It wasn't until Milonas sent Arion crashing through the ringside announcing table that the crowd sensed the end was near for the Golden Greek. When Milonas scored the pinfall, the crowd was in shock. Even more shocking was when Alex Arion finally got to his feet afterwards and went face-to-face off with Milonas. The two men shook hands in a show of respect as the fans of Lowell cheered with approval, making it the final memorable moment of the evening - one of many at the tenth annual COLD FURY.
