Last week, I opened the yellow pages and starting calling everyone from A-Z. I told everyone that Scott Reed was issuing an open challenge for opponents on September 18th in Lowell and asked if they would be interested.

The most common response I got was a high pitched scream, followed by the line being abruptly disconnected.

The owner of a pizzeria in Dracut initially accepted the offer, but quickly declined after seeing a photograph of Scott Reed here on the Chaotic Wrestling website.

And so Scott Reed has no opponent for the 18th. After making short work (no pun intended) of "The Mighty Mini" Mark Bourne, it's really no surprise everyone lives in fear of the current New England Champion.

I want to assure the fans, however, that the match time Mr. Reed and I would have had will not be wasted. In place of a match, I will be reading excerpts from The Great Gatsby in an attempt to educate the hordes of simpletons in Lowell.

Speaking of great works, Brian Fury will once again lock horns with Chase Del Monte for the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. Their epic clash last month was lauded by fans and fellow wrestlers alike as one of the best matches seen in 2009.

I would be hard pressed to disagree. Fury vs. Del Monte II should be just as exciting and hard-hitting, if not more so. This one, as they say, is for all the marbles.

This time, however, Del Monte will have to not only contend with a newly revitalized Brian Fury, he will also have to contend with myself and the rest of The Empire in any way I see fit. A lot is at stake here and this may well be the very last time Fury gets a shot at the title. Nothing will be left to chance.

In case the fans of Chaotic Wrestling haven't figured it out yet, let me make something explicitly clear...
