 A VERY CHAOTIC APRIL!
It's been over two weeks since Chaotic Wrestling's double-shot weekend in Woburn and Lawrence, respectively on April 9th and 10th, and myself and the CW Faithful are still feeling the effects of the weekend's events.
We were thrilled to have former WWE World Tag Team Champion, U-Gene on both shows and he really treated the fans to two great tag team matches, teaming w/ Chase Del Monte in Woburn to defeat "The Enforcer" Max Bauer and CW Heavyweight Champion, "The Kingpin" Brian Milonas and then in Lawrence, U-Gene teamed w/ New England Champion, Julian Starr to defeat Biff Busick and "Straight Edge" Brian Fury.
Speaking of tag teams, the Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team titles changed hands not once, but TWICE as Blowout Boy, Danny E. and his manager/Girlfriend Alexxis introduced Danny's cousin, Vinny E. to the packed house at the Woburn Elks as his partner to challenge Matt & Bryan Logan for the titles. Through underhanded means, the NEW Blowout Boys walked out of Woburn the new tag champs, ending the Logan's reign that began on May 29, 2009.
The Logans, however, exercised their rematch clause and took the titles back from the cousins E. in Lawrence the very next night to become the first-ever four-time Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Champions, thrilling the capacity crowd at the Plains Community Center.
The unpredictable weekend culminated in a match that Chaotic Wrestling fans were longing to see - current Heavyweight Champion, "The Kingpin" Brian Milonas (with his manager, Cherry Payne) defending his title against the former champion, the ever-popular Chase Del Monte inside the confines of a steel cage.
This epic battle started outside the cage and all over the arena floor and even into the balcony of the Community Center before the two gladiators even got inside the steel mesh. But once they finally did, it was complete CHAOS (pun, well intended) as Cherry Payne slammed the cage door on Del Monte's head, opening a cut on his forehead, prompting Payne's immediate dismissal from ringside by Senior Official, Mike Crockett.
Undaunted, Del Monte fought through the crimson mask and took Milonas, even connecting with a frog splash from the top of the cage! The impact of the splash even bloodied the nose of the champion.
Milonas and Del Monte continued the war as both men tried to exit the cage and win the match. As Del Monte tried to exit over the top of the cage, Milonas caught him and powerbombed Chase from the top rope to score the pin after over thirteen minutes of actual action inside the steel.
Now that the events of that historic weekend are now behind us, we must focus our attention on this Friday night, April 30th as Chaotic Wrestling returns HOME to the Polish-American Veterans Club in Lowell, MA.
Despite his second heavyweight title reign being just over two months old, Brian Milonas has ordered a Tournament of Champions. Claiming to be the greatest Chaotic Wrestling Champion in history, "The Kingpin" has stated that he only wants to face the best this promotion has to offer. Therefore, four former CW Heavyweight Champions will square off in two singles bouts this Friday night in hopes of victory in the tournament to earn another crack at the title.
The two tournament matches signed for this Friday night will see a pair of two-time former champions do battle as "The Extreme Strongman" Gino Martino takes on Demon Ortiz. This war has been raging since Martino's induction into the CW Hall of Fame at COLD FURY 9 on February 19th, when Ortiz came out to congratulate Gino and then offered to face him in the ring if he ever wanted "one last match" in Chaotic Wrestling. Martino felt disrespected and attacked Ortiz as he made his way to the ring for that night's Chaotic Countdown Battle Royal.
Since then, these two have engaged in a war of words and even had a brief run-in against one another recently in Woburn. This Friday night, they finally face each other one-on-one, but with much more than revenge on their minds... now a shot at the heavyweight title hangs in the balance!
Our other tournament match will feature the Intellectual Properties' Tomasso Ciampa taking on "Big" Rick Fuller. Fuller has been looking for revenge against Ciampa's tag team partner, "The Enforcer" Max Bauer, who broke Fuller's hand with a steel turnbuckle support several months ago. Since Fuller can't seem to get a match with Bauer, you know he's going to use those lethal chops on his fully-healed hand to send "The Enforcer" a message at the hands of his tag team partner, the highly-talented Ciampa.
Brian Milonas, on the other hand, will not be resting on his laurels this Friday night as he will defend his title against his former employee (as Agent Starr), the New England Champion, Julian Starr. "The Kingpin" had best beware of the skills of Starr, who not only captured the New England title from Danny E. on March 12th, but the hearts and minds of the fans in a very short period of time. This one should be interesting!
Also signed for this Friday night in Lowell will be a CW Tag Team title match as The Logan Brothers defend their newly won belts against "The Greek Squad" of Elia Markopoulos and "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion. This bout will feature four of the most popular athletes on the CW roster and is a match that I can hardly wait to see!
Get your tickets now as Chaotic Wrestling returns home to the PAV in Lowell this Friday night! Bell time is 8PM. Join myself and R.J. Deluise as we bring you all the action from Lowell.
Until next time...
LET THE CHAOS BEGIN!
