Greetings, Chaotic Nation!
Friday June 20th saw Chaotic Wrestling return to the Sons of Italy hall in Watertown for Charged Up. Catch all the action on YouTube and follow along here for The Only Wrapup That Matters!
Let the Chaos Begin, is what Rich Palladino would have said had he not been interrupted by Cole Rutherford, clad only in boat shoes and salmon shorts, bursting into the ring to announce the arrival of Kalvin Dumont, who uncharacteristically arrived in the ring under his own power. Rutherford then held Dumont like the precious child he is as Dumont spouted some nonsense, and then Gabby Forza came out, and, though she is of normal stature and does not sport a conical red hat, she asserted that she is “your homie, the gnomie.” Rutherford interfered in the match, allowing Dumont to retain his title, but Gabby Forza punished Rutherford rather brutally for his interference, and Dumont couldn’t even get carried out of the ring. It’s hard to get good help!
Bear Week in Provincetown isn’t until next month, but it was Bear Night in Watertown as Bear Bronson took on Jariel Rivera. It was a long, brutal match featuring a lot of slapping and a fair amount of drooling, but Rivera, despite having endured a great deal of punishment from the big Bear, found the strength to powerbomb and pin Bronson for the win.
The team of Catch & Release (Seabass Finn and Sean Vegan Keegan) challenged JT Dunn and Danny Miles for the tag team championship. The crowd favored Catch & Release, and perhaps this caused the palpable tension between Dunn and Miles during the match. Despite some inter-team friction, Dunn and Miles got the win, though even winning did little to dispel the bad vibes. Would Dunn and Miles talk it out backstage, or would they involve everyone in the Sons of Italy Hall in their friendship drama? Well, what do you think? Read on, fans!
Arcturus once again got one of his followers to defend his championship (it’s good to be a creepy cult leader!), and this time it was Milo Mirra’s turn! Arcturus placed Milo’s pogo stick at ringside despite the fact that he previously told Milo he had to choose between the pogo stick and the goblet. If the Chaotic crowd had its way, Milo would certainly have chosen the pogo stick in his match against Trigga The OG, but Milo resisted the allure of the pogo stick. Unfortunately for the GGC, he also resisted the temptation to win, as Trigga took the match and the New England Championship!
While Arcturus might not have been pleased with Milo’s performance, he was more displeased with Trigga, and he and a couple of acolytes stormed the ring to start pummeling Trigga. But Trigga got some unexpected assistance from JT Dunn and Danny Miles. Chaos erupted in what turned out to be a one-sided three on four brawl that left the GGC beaten and drooling. (Well, Arcturus was drooling, anyway)
Danny Miles delivered a lengthy speech in which he lamented the demise of The Unit, and, as the crowd bellowed “hug it out!” Trigga, Dunn, and Miles did, in fact, hug it out, thereby announcing the re-formation of The Unit. Will the Unit take down the GGC as the dominant faction in Chaotic Wrestling? Time will tell!
After intermission, Armani Kaos emerged, clad in a cowboy hat with sparkly fringe that we hope he wore to the Cowboy Carter tour, because to own that hat and not wear it to the Cowboy Carter tour would certainly be the missed opportunity of a lifetime. Kaos announced that he had no match on the card but would take on anyone who wanted to fight him. This brought Godrick, Sister Selena, Spike Nishimura, and Tony “The Big Cheese” Navarro to the ring for a five-way match. Would chaos ensue, or would referee LJ Childress keep a tight rein on the competitors? Well, what do you think? Forearms were thrown, feet were stomped, the crowd shouted '“this is awesome” and Armani pulled out the win by moonsaulting from the top rope onto Godrick for the pin and the win!
Next up, BMT sought to avenge the Monarchy’s defeat last week at the hands of Jamari and Armani Kaos with a solo match against Jamari. Sadly for BMT, even Ariel’s ringside interference couldn’t secure a victory, and Jamari beat him for the third time in three weeks! Guess there’s a new king in town!
The main event saw Mortar taking on Brad “Big Bacon” Hollister in a best 2 out of 3 falls match! With the match tied at one fall apiece, Bacon slammed into Mortar who slammed into the corner. Unfortunately said corner was occupied by referee Brendan Paul at the time, and he was knocked flat. He did come around in time to see Bacon tapping out after Mortar put him in a Boston Crab, but insisted that both wrestlers were disqualified due to the corner smashing incident.
After a few minutes of confusion and choice epithets hurled at Brendan Paul by the crowd, the match restarted, and Paul was taken out by an errant (probably!) kick to the face from Mortar. Just as Big Bacon was about to smash a supine Mortar with a folding chair, referee LJ Childress entered the ring and took the chair away. Big Bacon thanked Childress for his dedication to fair play with a forearm shot to the head, and Childress went down!
Which Bacon probably regretted when there was nobody to call the three-count when he pinned Mortar. More chaos ensued as referee Kevin Quinn was greeted by a Big Bacon forearm to the face as he tried to enter the ring and both Mortar and Big Bacon fell through the table that Mortar had set up at ringside. And then Chase Del Monte himself came out to referee the match! It ain’t called Orderly Wrestling, folks!
Chase called for security after being felled by attacks from both wrestlers, (it’s good to be the boss! No other ref got security!), the wrestlers battled security, and The Big Cheese, Kalvin Dumont, Cole Rutherford came out to separate them.
But that didn’t stop the chaos, and eventually the Chase that Runs the Place declared that the heavyweight championship will be awarded to the winner of Chaotic Countdown on July 11th in Lowell, and that Chase himself may be participating! And then Mortar slammed him into the mat and unconsciousness.
Join us in Lowell on July 11th! The chaos will continue!
